The Strategic Dialogue Group has worked with a variety of organizations to encourage positive change. With our approach, teams will:

  • Build relationships and empathy across differences.

  • Develop skills to listen to and discuss a broad range of experiences and perspectives.

  • Utilize a framework to identify beliefs, practices, and policies that contribute to challenges and disparities.

  • Identify solutions and a collective vision for action and change.

Schools

  • Schools are working hard to remove racial predictability in student outcomes. Yet, many districts struggle to develop the relationships and structures necessary to address barriers to success.

  • Strategic Dialogue Group provides a process to engage diverse stakeholders in meaningful dialogue to help staff, students, families, and leaders develop the relationships, awareness, and skills to effectively work together and create structures for change.

Example

East Hartford Public Schools in Connecticut has approximately 7000 students and 13 schools.

Outcomes include:

  • Year-long facilitated dialogue with 50 district leaders to develop the skills to lead through an equity lens

  • The creation of a district-wide equity team to identify practices and policies that contribute to challenges

  • 35 trained district staff who now facilitate dialogues with school-based staff

  • Six dialogue cohorts led by district facilitators

  • New awareness and changed practices

Organizational Change

Businesses, Government, Non-profits

  • Due to an increasingly integrated and at times contentious world, employers must engage in intentional practices to ensure their organizational culture is aligned with the needs of its diverse leaders, employees, and customers or stakeholders.

  • Strategic Dialogue Group develops a process alligned to the specific culture and goals of the organization to bring all stakeholders together to understand the challenges and develop meaningful actions for change.

Example

The Bozzuto Group is a real estate company with over 2500 employees in construction, property management, development, and homebuilding.

Outcomes include:

  • 1000 employees have participated in facilitated dialogues called Community Forums

  • 60 Bozzuto employees trained to lead the Community Forums

  • Process tailored specifically to Bozzuto’s needs.

  • Multiple practices and policies have been changed to ensure a more inclusive company

"They facilitate rather than direct, support rather than lecture, and guide rather than shame. One of the things that has most impressed me is that they have stayed true to their commitment to making sure our plan reflects our needs."
